# Vice Presidents If the [president ](/committee-procedures/officers-handbooks/officers/president.md)is unable to perform the duties of their office for any reason, the [vice president](/committee-procedures/officers-handbooks/officers/vice-presidents.md) next in rank shall occupy their position and perform their duties with the same authority as the president.
